Contact

One address, read by a person: hello@tapesheet.com. There is no support portal, no ticket number and no chatbot, because there are no accounts to have problems with.

Please do not email us a statement. Writing to us is entirely your own choice — nothing on this site asks you for a file — but if you do, leave out statements, account numbers, broker credentials and screenshots containing them. Describe the problem in words instead. Anything you send is used only to answer your message, apart from a statement you agree to donate as a test fixture. This is a request rather than a disclaimer: once something reaches the inbox we hold it and we are responsible for it, which is the whole reason we would rather not have it.

The message we most want

A statement that would not parse. MetaTrader’s report format is undocumented and every broker customises it, so the only way TapeSheet supports your broker is if somebody with that broker tells us it failed. That message is worth more to us than any feature request.

Tell us about it in words rather than sending the file. The broker, the platform, the MetaTrader version, and what the analyzer said when it gave up — that is usually enough to reproduce, and it means nothing of yours has to leave your device. Nothing in the analyzer sends us anything, and there is no upload button to find.

If we do end up needing the file itself, we will ask, and we will say exactly what to strip first — the account number and the holder name. Even then it is your call, and the answer may reasonably be no.

A statement we are given is kept as a test fixture until you ask us to delete it, so that broker’s layout cannot silently break again. Either way — file or description — say which broker and platform you use and we will tell you when it is fixed.

Also genuinely useful

  • A number that looks wrong. Your broker’s figures are authoritative, not ours. Tell us which metric and what you expected — that is a bug report and we want it.
  • Security disclosure. Email before publishing and we will work with you. There is no bug bounty; there is genuine gratitude and credit if you want it.
  • Something on the site that breaks our own rules — see the ethics page. Point at it and we will fix or remove it.
  • Press, partnership or a broker asking about their format. Same address.
  • A feature you keep reaching for and not finding. Not everything gets built, but everything gets read.

Things we cannot help with

Not to be unfriendly — these are genuinely outside what this tool is:

  • Advice about your trading. We do not give it. See the risk disclaimer.
  • Signals, strategies or recommendations. Never, from us or from anyone writing on our behalf.
  • Account recovery. There are no accounts. If your journal is gone, it went with your browser storage and we have no copy — nobody does. Keep backups with Settings → Export.
  • Disputes with your broker or prop firm. Our numbers are a reconstruction from a file you exported; only your broker’s records are authoritative, and our prop verdict is an approximation of a firm’s rules, not the firm’s calculation.
  • Data-deletion requests. Not because we refuse, but because we hold none of your trading data unless you emailed it to us. Deletion is Settings → Clear all data, on your device; for anything you emailed us, including a statement you donated, say so and we will delete it.

Response time

This is a small project, so expect a reply in days rather than minutes. Parse failures and security reports go to the front of the queue.
