What AEST / AEDT is, and what it does to your session times
Sydney runs AEST (UTC+10) in the southern winter and AEDT (UTC+11) in the southern summer — changing in the opposite direction to the northern hemisphere, and on different weekends.
Because the offset changes twice a year, and the sessions change on their own schedules, the same session can appear at three different local times across a year. The table below shows the two stable states.
