Candle close and rollover
Triple swap tonight. The close that ends the Wednesday session carries three days of swap, because the spot value date rolls over the weekend. A position you would happily hold through any other rollover costs — or pays — three times as much through this one.
The market is shut for the weekend, so no candle is forming. Trading resumes in —.

What JST is, and what it does to your session times
JST is UTC+9 all year. Japan has not observed daylight saving since 1951.
The JST trading day, week and year
In Tokyo the daily candle closes in the early morning: 07:00 JST through the American winter and 06:00 JST through the American summer, switching on 8 March and 1 November in 2026. Japan has no daylight saving, so the Tokyo session itself, 09:00 to 18:00 on this site's session table, never moves; the candle close and the European and American opens move around it. A trader in Japan who holds a position overnight meets the candle close, and the swap charge that comes with it, before the Tokyo open rather than after it.
London opens at 17:00 JST in the European winter and 16:00 JST from 29 March to 25 October 2026, so Tokyo and London overlap for one hour at the end of the Tokyo afternoon in winter and for two in summer. The range Tokyo builds during the day is what London either extends or breaks in that overlap. New York opens at 22:00 or 21:00 JST.
Sydney moves against Tokyo in the opposite season. Its 08:00 open is 06:00 JST from October to April, while Sydney is on daylight saving, and 07:00 JST from April to October; in 2026 those changes fall on 5 April and 4 October. For a few weeks each year the Sydney open and the candle close land in the same Tokyo hour.
A Tokyo office day from 09:00 to 17:00 is almost entirely Asian: the Tokyo session all day, and Sydney until 15:00 JST in the southern summer or 16:00 in the southern winter. London arrives at 16:00 in the European summer and not before 17:00 in the European winter. The forex week closes on Saturday morning in Tokyo, at 07:00 or 06:00, and reopens at the same hour on Monday, two or three hours before the Tokyo session begins.
In Japan the American calendar arrives late at night, with releases timed for 08:30 New York published at 22:30 JST in the northern winter and 21:30 JST in the northern summer, an hour before the NYSE opens.

Your record already knows which session pays
A session table tells you when the market moves. Your own statement tells you when you make money, which is a different and far more useful question. Drop the MT4 or MT5 file on the page — win rate, expectancy and net P&L split by session, in about three seconds, and the file never leaves your device.
